This is the cover for the CD version of the 1988's album Introspective by the Pet Shop Boys.
It is slightly different from the vinyl albmum cover: though sructure is the same, colors differ (two yellow bars in the vynil version, versus one single yellow bar in the CD).
The minimalistic composition by Mark Farrow is appealing. The labelling is also minimal, and definitely not needed to make the record identifiable.
I found this artwork impressive: a symbol of how design can make a difference. Mark Farrow's web site showcases this style (which appears in other albums by Pet Shop Boys as 1993's Very or 2009's Yes, as musicians and artist keep a longstanding relationhip).
